Personalised physical disability care

Personalised physical disability care

Elderly residents who are mobile and can perform daily routines without full-time assistance can request a personalised disability care plan based on their needs. Our compassionate disability care teams are committed to ensuring residents get everything they require, including nutrition and medication support. For residents with more severe injuries or conditions, we provide 24-hour on-call mobility support, ensuring we are there every time you call.

Mobility assistance

Mobility assistance

Our disability care services provide mobility aids where needed, such as walking frames and wheelchairs, as well as various other assistive devices. At all Medicrest care homes in Surrey and West Sussex, we train residents to use these tools effectively, promoting independence and reducing the risk of injury and setbacks.

Emotional and psychological support

Emotional and psychological support

We understand the emotional impact of living with a physical disability and are always available to offer compassionate support and guidance. By promoting mental health and social interaction, we are often able to alleviate feelings of anxiety, depression, isolation and grief in our residents, contributing continuously to a calm and happy state of mind. If a good chat over a cup of tea doesn't help, we encourage residents to engage in our range of individual and group therapy activities.

Whatever you need, know we are here to help.

Residents often tell us how much they look forward to their daily activities - the benefits are many.

All Medicrest staff members undergo a thorough screening process, including an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check and detailed professional and character references. New employees complete a three-month probation period and receive bi-monthly clinical supervision. Long-standing staff receive annual performance appraisals, but the most valuable feedback comes directly from our residents and their families.
