Following the preassessment, our care team will begin preparing for your arrival. With great attention to detail, we do everything to ensure a clean, warm and welcoming environment for every new resident who joins our Acorn House family.

Pre-Admission Checks
Before a new resident moves into Acorn House, all pre-admission requirements must be met according to our care home policies and the care plan created during the preassessment.
Personal Approach
All carers are briefed on the new resident’s preferred form of address before their arrival and personal belongings are thoughtfully positioned in private rooms.

Immaculately Clean
Our fully trained cleaning staff ensure the highest standards of cleanliness in all private and communal areas throughout Acorn House Care Home. Residents’ rooms are kept clean, properly aired, and freshly set with clean bed linen and towels.

At Acorn House Care Home, we pay close attention to room temperature in every room, ensuring year-round comfort and warmth for our residents, regardless of the weather. Private rooms offer optimal warmth and comfort, with staff remaining available to adjust according to individual preferences.
Safety and Quality Assurance
All electrical systems, such as the call button, lighting, power outlets and television are checked to ensure full working order, and furniture is assessed to ensure quality condition. We pay close attention to the details of the care plan, ensuring that strategically placed mobility aids and assistive devices are provided as agreed.
