Meet our Team at
Homelands Nursing Home in West Sussex
“My team of staff are lovely, hardworking and they care for the residents. The residents are at the heart. It’s a lovely, home environment. All the rooms at Homelands have wonderful views and the rabbits are quite frequent visitors to the windows!”
- Registered Care Manager
Tracey Stewart
"This is Homelands, so this is home. It is a home away from home. I always tell them, when I retire, I'd like to wake up to this kind of scenery. This is me. This is what I want."
- Deputy Manager
Estrella Alcodia
“When the relatives visit, they are welcome to join in the activities. They see it’s more fun and their parents are more engaged when they are there. I encourage them to join in!”
- Activities Coordinator
Cristina Apostol
“Before the residents come into the care home, we research what they like, in terms of food and activities. We then create individual care plans to accommodate them. After one or two days, they feel like family."
- Business Support Manager

what you can expect:
Registered Care Manager
The Registered Care Manager is dedicated to ensuring our residents are happy and well cared for, living a life for a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle. By closely overseeing the entire Homelands team and promptly addressing any resident concerns, the Care Manager is committed to the smooth running of our dementia care and nursing home in Horsham, West Sussex.
Clinical Nursing & Care Assistance
At Homelands, we employ a permanent team of registered nurses responsible for clinical nursing care. They offer general physical and mental health care, providing 24-hour elderly nursing services for both houses. Our team of qualified and experienced care assistants support our nurses, providing everything from personal care, mobility assistance, nutrition and medication management to palliative nursing and end-of-life care.
Domestic & Culinary Teams
Our domestic staff support the entire in-house team, keeping the home immaculately clean to the highest standards. While they keep the house in order, our passionate culinary professionals keep busy creating delicious, nutritious meals for residents throughout the day. Catering to all allergies and dietary requirements, we offer something for everyone.
Activity Coordinators
We provide a variety of enjoyable performance activities that focus on improving well-being, cognitive function, communication and confidence. You can always rely on our activity coordinators to inform you of the latest events. While we encourage residents to participate in fun, recreational activities, they are (obviously) optional.
Resident safety is our top priority.
